Data Deletion
You can ask CHANTCH SDN BHD (“Chantch Solutions”, “we”, “us” or “our”) to delete the personal data we hold about you — including anything we received when you messaged us on WhatsApp. This page explains exactly how, and what happens next.
Last updated: 1 July 2026
1. Overview
Protecting your personal data is your right under Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). If you have contacted us — through our website, by email, or on WhatsApp — you can ask us to delete the data we hold about you at any time, free of charge. These instructions tell you how to make that request and how we handle it. For the full picture of what we collect and why, see our Privacy Policy.
2. What data this covers
A deletion request covers the personal data we hold about you as a result of your contact with us, including:
- WhatsApp data — your WhatsApp phone number, your WhatsApp profile name, and the content of the messages and any files you sent us.
- Contact & enquiry data — your name, business name, email address, phone number, and the details of your enquiry submitted through our contact form or by email.
- Correspondence — the records of our email and WhatsApp conversations with you.
We do not use Facebook Login, and we do not build advertising profiles. The data above is what we may hold — deleting it removes you from our systems as described below.
3. How to request deletion
Contact us through either channel below and simply state that you want your data deleted. There is no form to fill in and no cost.
To help us find and verify your records quickly, please include:
- The WhatsApp number or email address you used to contact us — so we can locate your data.
- Your name — as you gave it to us, so we can confirm the request is really from you.
- What to delete — everything, or a specific conversation or enquiry.
4. What happens after you ask
- We verify — we may ask a question or two to confirm the request is genuinely from you, so nobody can delete your data on your behalf.
- We delete — once verified, we delete the personal data we hold about you from our active systems, and instruct our service providers (data processors) to do the same.
- We confirm — we reply to let you know it is done, normally within 30 days of verifying your request.
Deleting your data means we can no longer see your past messages or enquiry with us, so if you contact us again in future it will be as a new enquiry.
5. What we may keep
In a few cases the law lets — or requires — us to keep limited information even after a deletion request:
- Legal & tax records — where we have a completed transaction or a legal, tax, or accounting obligation to retain certain records for a set period under Malaysian law.
- Ongoing obligations — the minimum data needed to complete a service you have asked us to provide, until it is finished.
- Anonymised data — information that no longer identifies you (for example aggregate, non-identifying statistics) may be kept, as it is no longer personal data.
Anything we retain is kept only for as long as the law requires and is then securely deleted or anonymised. WhatsApp message content that we are not legally required to keep is deleted on your request.
