e-Invoice error: "Postcode maximum length is 5 characters – BUYER / SUPPLIER"

Symptom. The submission fails with Postcode maximum length is 5 characters – BUYER / SUPPLIER.

Cause. The postcode stored on the buyer's or supplier's tax entity has more than five characters — often a space, a dash, or a state name typed into the same box.

Fix. Open Tax → Tax Entity Maintenance, edit the tax entity named in the error (buyer or supplier), shorten the postcode to the five digits only, save, and resubmit the document.
